HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 2008-09-03 PETITION 2008-05-01-02 36843 PUBLIC HEARING RE PETITION 2008-05-01-02 SUBMITTED BY GREENLAND LIMITED PARTNERSHIP On Wednesday, September 3, 2008, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Council Vice President Godfroid-Marecki at 7 00 p m Present: Brian Meakin, Don Knapp, James McCann, Joe Laura, and Godfroid-Marecki Absent: Thomas Robinson and Council President Laura Toy Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance have been fulfilled Council Vice President Godfroid-Marecki stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M S.A. Section 5 2934, MC L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relevant to the following rezoning request: Petition 2008-05-01-02 submitted by Greenland Limited Partnership requesting to rezone property located within the Greenland Plaza Shopping Center, on the west side of Middlebelt Road between Greenland Avenue and Munger Avenue (16325- 16349 Middlebelt Road), in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 14 from C-1 to C-2 (Local Business to General Business) 36844 There were three (3) individuals present in the audience on this matter Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
