HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 2005-08-24 PETITION 2005-06-01-04 39300 PUBLIC HEARING RE Petition 2005-06-01-04 submitted by Leo Soave Building Company Petition 2005-06-01-05 submitted by Mario Tartaglia Petition 2005-03-06-01 submitted by the City Planning Commission On Wednesday, August 24, 2005 the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Council President Taylor at 7 00 p m Present: Brian Meakin, Frank J Kokenakes, Terry Godfroid-Marecki, James McCann, Don Knapp and Gerald Taylor Absent: Thomas Robinson Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance have been fulfilled Council President Taylor stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M S.A. Section 5.2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relevant to the following rezoning requests 1 Petition 2005-06-01-04 submitted by Leo Soave Building Company requesting to rezone properties at 31540, 31560 and 31640 Seven Mile Road, located on the north side of Seven Mile Road between Merriman Road and Auburndale Avenue in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 3 from RUFB to R-1 (Rural Urban Farm — 1/2 Acre Lots to One Family Residential - 60'x120' Lots) 39301 2 Petition 2005-06-01-05 submitted by Mario Tartaglia requesting to rezone property at 37290 Six Mile Road, located on the north side of Six Mile Road between Newburgh Road and Fitzgerald Avenue in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 8 from C-1 to C-2 (Local Business to General Business) 3 Petition 2005-03-06-01 submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to Council Resolution #137-05, and pursuant to Section 23 01(a) of Ordinance #543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, as amended, to determine whether or not to amend Section 11 03(p) of Article XI of Zoning Ordinance #543, as amended, to give the Planning Commission and City Council additional authority to regulate new retail uses in excess of 30,000 square feet. There were sixteen (16) individuals present in the audience on these matters Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
