HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 2005-02-28 PETITION 2004-11-01-16 35015 PUBLIC HEARING RE Petition 2004-11-01-16 submitted by the City Planning Commission Petition 2004-12-01-17 submitted by Gary and Helen Nixon Petition 2004-12-01-18 submitted by David Mowett and Wing Chan On Monday, February 28, 2005 the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Council President Taylor at 7 00 p m Present: Brian Meakin, Frank J Kokenakes, Terry Godfroid-Marecki, Thomas Robinson, Don Knapp and Gerald Taylor Absent: James McCann Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance have been fulfilled Council President Engebretson stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M S.A. Section 5 2934, M C L.A 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relevant to the following rezoning requests 1 Petition 2004-11-01-16 submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to Council Resolution 514-04, and pursuant to Section 23 01(a) of Ordinance #543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, as amended, requesting to rezone property located on the south side of Pinetree Avenue between Stark Road and Laurel Avenue (34451 Pinetree) in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 33 from RUF to R-1 (Rural Urban Farm — 1/2 Acre Lots to One Family Residential — 60' x 120' Lots) 2 Petition 2004-12-01-17 submitted by Gary and Helen Nixon requesting to rezone property located on the south side of Eight Mile Road between Gill 35016 Road and Ellen Drive (34628 Eight Mile Road) in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 4 from RUFB to OS and R-4 (Rural Urban Farm — 1/2 Acre Lots to Office Services and One Family Residential — 90' x 130' Lots) (The Planning Commission is recommending that the entire land area of the subject project be rezoned to R-4 ) 3 Petition 2004-12-01-18, submitted by David Mowett and Wing Chan requesting to rezone properties located on the south side of Five Mile Road between Paderewski Avenue and Haller Avenue (29001, 29005 and 29015 Five Mile Road) in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 24 from R-1 to C-1 (One Family Residential — 60' x 130' Lots to Local Business) (The Planning Commission is recommending that this property be rezoned to OS ) There were seven (7) individuals present in the audience on this matter Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
