HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 2003-04-21 PETITION 2002-11-01-16 34024 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING RE: Petition No. 2002-11-01-16, submitted by the City Planning Commission, Petition No. 2003-01-01-01, submitted by Henry Mark Stein, Petition No. 2003-01-01-02, submitted by Leo Soave, and Petition No. 2003-01-01-03, submitted by Leo Soave (CR#106-03] On Monday, April 21, 2003, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Council President Engebretson at 7 00 p m Present: Don Knapp, Val Vandersloot, Linda M Dolan, Gerald Taylor, Joe Laura and Jack Engebretson Absent: Maureen Miller Brosnan Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance have been fulfilled Council President Engebretson stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M S.A. Section 5.2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relevant to the following rezoning requests 34025 a Petition 2002-11-01-16 submitted by the City Planning Commission pursuant to CR 591-02 requesting to rezone property located on the north side of Six Mile Road between Farmington Road and Francavilla Drive (33400 Six Mile Road) in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 9 from C-1 to OS (Local Business to Office Services) b Petition 2003-01-01-01 submitted by Henry Mark Stein requesting to rezone property located on the east side of Newburgh Road between Five Mile and Ladywood Roads (15552 Newburgh Road) in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 17 from R-2A to R-7 (One Family Residential — 70' x 120" Lots to Multiple Family Residential) (CR 603-02) c. Petition 2003-01-01-02 submitted by Leo Soave requesting to rezone property located on the south side of Seven Mile Road between Brookfield Avenue and Canterbury Drive in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 10 from RUFC to R-3 (Rural Urban Farm — 1/2 Acre Lots to One Family Residential — 80' x 120' Lots) d Petition 2003-01-01-03 submitted by Leo Soave requesting to rezone property located on the south side of Seven Mile Road between Brookfield Avenue and Canterbury Drive in the North 1/2 of Section 10 from RUFC to R-3 (Rural Urban Farm — 1/2 Acre Lots to One Family Residential — 80' x 120' Lots) There were sixteen (16) individuals present in the audience on these requests Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
