PUBLIC HEARING RE. PETITION 2002.02-06-01, SUBMITTED BY THE CITY
PLANNING COMMISSION, TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT TO AMEND
ARTICLE IV, SECTION 4.04 AND ARTICLE V, SECTION 5.04 OF THE
ZONING ORDINANCE IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH OPEN SPACE
PRESERVATION ZONING PROVISION IN THE R-5 AND RUF ZONING
DISTRICTS AS REQUIRED BY HOUSE

On Monday, January 6, 2003, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
Councilmember Engebretson at TOO p m Present: Don Knapp, Val
Vandersloot, Linda M Dolan, Gerald Taylor, Maureen Miller Brosnan and Jack
Engebretson Absent: Joe Laura
Council President Engebretson stated that in accordance with the
provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921,
as amended, the Zoning Act (M S.A. Section 5.2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well
as Article XXIII of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing to determine
whether or not to amend Article IV, Section 4 04 and Article V, Section 5 04 in
order to establish an open space preservation zoning provision in the R-5 and
RUF zoning districts as required by House Bill No 5029
There were four (4) individuals present in the audience on this matter
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
