MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REZONING PETITIONS
LOn July 15, 2002, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Councilmember
Engebretson at 7 00 p m Present: Jack Engebretson, Don Knapp, Val
Vandersloot, Linda M Dolan, Gerald Taylor, Joe Laura and Maureen Miller
Brosnan Absent: None
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance have been fulfilled
Council President Engebretson stated that in accordance with the
Lprovisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921,
as amended, the City Zoning Act (MSA 5.2934, MCLA 125 584), as well as
Article XXII of Ordinance 543, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relevant to
rezoning requests
1) Petition 2002-03-01-02 submitted by Harvey & Shirley Prysdale
requesting to rezone property located on the south side of Bretton
Road between Middlebelt Road and Melvin Avenue (29901 Bretton
Road) in the SE 1/4 of Section 2 from RUFA to R-1 (Rural Urban
Farm — 'A Acre Lots to One Family Residential — 60' x 120' Lots),
2) Petition 2002-03-01-03 submitted by Djelosh Juncaj requesting to
rezone property located on the south side of Eight Mile Road
between Middlebelt Road and Brentwood Avenue (29023 Eight
Mile Road) in the NW 1/4 of Section 1 from C-1 to C-2 (Local
LBusiness to General Business).

There were fourteen (14) individuals present in the audience on this

Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the
City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was adjourned at 7 57 p m , Monday, July 15, 2002
