PUBLIC HEARING RE: PETITION 00-12-1-22 SUBMITTED BY
MASOUD SHANGO, FOR A CHANGE OF ZONING OF PROPERTY
LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SCHOOLCRAFT ROAD EAST
OF MERRIMAN ROAD IN THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 26,
FROM P AND M-1 TO C-3 (Parking and Light
Manufacturing to Highway Service)
On April 2, 2001, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center
Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Council President Brosnan at 7.23
p m. Present: John Walsh, John Pastor, Brian Duggan, Joe Laura, Jack Engebretson
and Maureen Miller Brosnan Absent: Val Vandersloot.
Council President Brosnan stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth
in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act
(M S.A. Section 5 2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No
543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is
holding a public hearing to determine whether or not to approve the request for a change
of zoning of property located on the south side of Schoolcraft Road east of Merriman
Road in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 26, from P and M-1 to C-3 (Parking and Light
Manufacturing to Highway Service)
There were eight (8) persons present on this matter
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 32 p m , Monday, April 2, 2001
