GLASS, MANAGER, ACCESS ENGINEERING, U.S. XCHANGE OF MICHIGAN, L.L.C., RE: AS REQUIRED UNDER SECTION 12.06.050 OF THE LIVONIA CODE OF ORDINANCES, AS AMENDED. [CR 548-00] On September 6, 2000, a hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and this item was called to order by President Brosnan at TOO p m. Present: John Walsh, Joe Laura, Jack Engebretson and Maureen Brosnan. Absent: Val Vandersloot, John Pastor and Brian Duggan President Brosnan stated that this was a public hearing on the question of whether this City Council should approve the Telecommunications Permit Application from Thomas C Glass, Manager, Access Engineering, U S Xchange of Michigan, L L.L.0 for access to and ongoing use of the public rights-of-way within the City for a proposed telecommunications system utilizing approximately six(6) miles of public right- of-way [This Application requests the placement of overhead cable on existing Detroit Edison poles on Newburgh Road from Eight Mile Road to Joy Road with that portion at the Newburgh Road railroad grade separation being placed underground ] There were two(2) persons present in the audience Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
