HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 2000-07-10 PETITION 2000-04-06-02 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING RE: PETITION 00-4-6-2, SUBMITTED 32396 BY THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION PURSUANT TO SECTION 23.01(A) OF ORDINANCE NO. 543, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA, AS AMENDED, PROPOSING TO AMEND ARTICLE XVII OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR SDD AND SDM LICENSED ESTABLISHMENTS AS WAIVER USES IN THE M-2 (GENERAL MANUFACTURING) DISTRICT. [CR 407-00] On July 10, 2000, a hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Brosnan at 7:00 p m Present: John Pastor, Brian Duggan, Joe Laura, Jack Engebretson and Maureen Brosnan Absent: Val Vandersloot and John Walsh President Brosnan stated that this was a public hearing on the question of whether this City Council should amend Article XVII of the Zoning Ordinance to provide for SDD and SDM licensed establishments as waiver uses in the M-2 (General Manufacturing) District. There were two (2) persons present on this matter Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk. The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 15 p m , Monday, July 10, 2000 , 1, --Ti(Lciatztit J• • N McCOTTER, CITY CLERK 32397 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REZONING PETITIONS On July 17, 2000, four hearings were held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and were called to order by President Brosnan at 7 00 p m Present: Val Vandersloot, John Pastor, Brian Duggan and Maureen Brosnan Absent: John Walsh, Joe Laura and Jack Engebretson Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen(15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed changes and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled President Brosnan stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M S.A. Section 5 2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing to determine whether or not to amend Section 18 17 of Zoning Ordinance No 543 for the purpose of granting changes in zoning for the following (1) Petition 99-10-1-16, submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to Council Resolution 218-00 and to Section 23 01(a) of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, for a change of zoning of property located on the west side of Farmington Road north of Seven Mile Road (the former site of Fire Station No 3 and the adjacent parcel to the south) in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 4 from PL and RUF to C-2 (Public Lands and Rural Urban Farm 1/2 acre Lots to General Business) (2) Petition 00-3-1-4, submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to Council Resolution 152-00 and to Section 23 01(a) of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, for a change of zoning of property located on the south side of Glendale Avenue between Farmington Road and Merriman Road in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 27 from PL to M-2 (Public Lands to General Manufacturing) 32398 (3) Petition 00-3-1-5, as amended, submitted by Sam Baki, for a change of zoning of property located at the southwest corner of Gill Road and Northland Drive in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 4 from RUFB to R-2 (Rural Urban Farm- %Acre Lots to One Family Residential-70' x 120' Lots) (4) Petition 00-4-1-6, submitted by SSOE, Inc., on behalf of Meijer, Inc., for a change of zoning of property located at the east side of Middlebelt Road between Schoolcraft Road and the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad in the Northwest 14 of Section 25 from M-2 to C-2 (General Manufacturing to General Business) There were six (6) persons present on these matters. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
