MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REZONING
On October 14, 1996, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Laura at
7 03 p m Present: Gerald D Taylor, Brian Duggan, Fernon P Feenstra, Maureen
Miller Brosnan, Val Vandersloot and Joe Laura Absent: None
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City
Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date
to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section
4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A.
Section 5.2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance
Petition 96-7-1-14 by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to CR 459-96,
proposing to rezone 57,000 sq ft. of vacant land located adjacent to and
immediately west of Exhibit Works, Inc. on Merriman Road between Industrial
Road and Glendale Avenue in the N E. 1/4 of Section 27 from PL (Public
Lands) to M-2 (General Manufacturing)
There was no one present in the audience on this petition
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 05 p m , October 14, 1996
