HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1968-09-16 NECESSITY LYNDON 9877 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE NECESSITY OF PAVING THE NORTH HALF OF LYNDON AVENUE FROM MERRIMAN EASTERLY TO BREDIN COURT On September 16, 1968, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice-President of the Council at approximately 8:21 P. M. Present--Robert E. McCann, Rudolf R. Kleinert, Peter A. Ventura, Jerry Raymond, Robert F. Nash, and Edward G. Milligan. Absent-- Edward H. McNamara. The Vice-President stated that pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 401, as amended, of the City of Livonia, entitled "An Ordinance to Provide for the Making of Public Improvements, Defraying the Expense Thereof by Special Assessment and a Special Assessment Procedure", and likewise pursuant to a Notice of Public Hearing duly published and sent to property owners in accordance with said Ordinance No. 401, as amended, the City Council is opening a public hearing for the purpose of determining the necessity of installing paving on the north half of Lyndon Avenue from Merriman Road easterly to Bredin Court in the northwest 1/4 of Section 23 of the City of Livonia. There were approximately eighty people in the audience. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
