HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1968-10-21 PETITION 1968-05-01-18 9981 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS LOn October 21, 1968, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 9:00 P. M. Present--Edward H. McNamara, Peter A. Ventura, Robert E. McCann, and Edward G. Milligan. Absent--Rudolf R. Kleinert, Jerry Raymond, and Robert F. Nash. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hear- ing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.293)4Y, as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding L a public hearing relative to requests for changes in the Zoning Ordinance. Petition 68-7-1-26, submitted by Jack N. Tucker and Morris Friedman, for a change of zoning in Section 21 from R-2 to P.S. There were approximately sixteen people in the audience. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk. Petition 68-5-1-18, submitted by John Carlesimo of Carlesimo Concrete Products, Inc., for a change of zoning in Section 2 from M-1 to P. Petition 68-6-6-4, submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to Council Resolution #689-68 to amend Section 11.03 (h) of the Zoning Ordinance, so as to provide for a reduction from 1,000 to 500 feet of distance between Class "C" Liquor licensed establishments in certain instances. Petition 68-7-1-27, submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion, for a change of zoning in Section 18 from R-3-B to R-E.
