HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1968-04-17 PETITION 1967-12-01-39 9426 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS On April 17, 1968, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 7:40 P. M. Present--Edward H. McNamara, Rudolf R. Kleinert, *Jerry Raymond, Robert F. Nash, and Edward G. Milligan. Absent--Peter A. Ventura and Robert E. McCann. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hear- ing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is hold- ing a public hearing relative to requests for changes in the Zoning Ordinance. Petition No. 67-12-1-39, submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion to rezone property located on the South side of Kendall Avenue, East of Merriman Road in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 23 from PS to R-l. There were ten people in the audience. *Councilman Raymond arrived at 7:45 P. M. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk. Petition No. 66-11-6-14, submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion to amend Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, by removing certain Special Trade Contractor's Uses from the M-1 District and incorporating them as Waiver Uses in the M-2 District. There were five people in the audience. There were no comments from the audience regarding the above petition. Petition 67-6-1-19, submitted by Albert R. and Margaret D. Van Ness requesting to rezone property at Ann Arbor Road and West Chicago in the Northeast 1/14 of Section 31 from RUF to C-2. There were no comments from the ten people in the audience regarding the above petition. 9427 Petition 67-10-1-37, submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion to rezone property located on the South side of Seven Mile Road approximately 330 feet east of Middlebelt Road in the north-west 1/4 of Section 12 from R-7 and RUF L to PS. There were no comments from the nine people in the audience regarding the above petition. The public hearing was declared closed at 8:27 P. M., April 17, 1968. ADDISON W. BACON, . erk
