HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1967-12-11 PETITION 1967-07-01-25 9173 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON TWO ZONING PETITIONS On December 11, 1967, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 8:30 P. M. Present--Peter A. Ventura, Rudolf R. Kleinert, Edward H. McNamara, Jerry Raymond, Robert F. Nash, and Edward G. Milligan. Absent--Jack Salvadore. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to requests for zoning changes in the Zoning Ordinance. Petition 67-7-1-25, submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion for a change of zoning in Section 7 from C-2 and R-5C to M-1. There were approximately eighteen people in the audience. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk. Petition 67-7-1-26, submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own motion to rezone property in Section 18 from R-3B and C-2 to M-1. There were twelve people in the audience.
