HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1966-11-30 NECESSITY COMPTON VILLAGE Page 8343 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON NECESSITY RELATIVE TO INSTALLING STREET LIGHTS IN COMPTON VILLAGE IN SECTION 24 On November 30, 1966, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at approximately 8:50 P. M. Present--Peter A. Ventura and Robert F. Nash. Absent--Rudolf R. Kleinert, Edward H. McNamara, Jerry Raymond, Jack Salvadore, and Edward G. Milligan. The President stated that pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 401, as amended, of the City of Livonia, entitled "An Ordinance to Provide for the Making of Public Improvements, Defraying the Expense Thereof by Special Assessment and a Special Assessment Procedure", and likewise pursuant to a Notice of Public Hearing duly published and sent to property owners in accordance with said Ordinance No. 401, as amended, the City Council was opening a Public Hearing for the purpose of deter- mining the necessity for the installation of street lights in the area known as "Compton Village" composed of the following subdivisions: Belle-Lynn, Har-Lo, Patty- Ann, Compton Village, Mar-Git, Lawr-El, and Marcy-Ann, located in Section 24, in the City of Livonia. There were approximately forty people present in the audience. Questions and comments by interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk. There being no further comments the Public Hearing was declared closed at approximately 10:00 P. M., November 30, 1966. ADDISON W. BACON, ► , le
