REQUEST TO ACCEPT A U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE GRANT FOR THE CLARENCEVILLE AND LIVONIA PUBLIC SCHOOLS SCHOOL DISTRICTS FROM FUNDING UNDER THE “SECURE OUR SCHOOLS” COMPETITIVE GRANT PROGRAM: Division of Police, re: to assist with the development of school safety resources and improved security in schools and on school grounds, with a 50% local cash match required, which will be provided by the school districts. 5. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE ONE (1) REPLACEMENT VEHICLE FOR THE INSPECTION DEPARTMENT: Public Service Division, re: the purchase of one (1) 2010 Ford Escape from MMRMA insurance payout, a payment from the Salvage Company and budgeted funds. 6. CONVEYANCE OF AN EASEMENT TO DTE ENERGY: Department of Law, re: to provide underground electric service on City-owned property to the new clubhouse at Whispering Willows Golf Course (20500 Newburgh Road) located in the Northwest ¼ of Section 5. ROLL CALL: Proposed amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 543, as amended: Department of Law, re: Petition 2009-08-06-03 submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to Council Resolution 338-09, to determine whether or not to amend Section 3.08 of Article III of the Zoning Ordinance to prohibit any uses that are contrary to federal, state or local laws or ordinances. First Reading given by Vice President Godfroid-Marecki on November 18, 2009. 8. ROLL CALL: Proposed amendment to the Livonia Code of Ordinances, as amended: Department of Law, re: to Section 290 of Chapter 04 (Dogs), Title 6 to revise impound and boarding fees. WAIVER PETITION: Planning Commission, re: Petition 2009-08-02-12 submitted by Walgreen Company, requesting approval to utilize an SDM license (sale of packaged beer and wine) in connection with a retail facility located on the northeast corner of Joy and Newburgh Roads (8850 Newburgh Road), in the Southwest ¼ of Section 32. (This petition was denied by the City Planning Commission at their Regular Meeting of October 20, 2009, and comes to the City Council per the petitioner’s request for an appeal.)
