PUBLIC HEARING
SUBMITTED BY CITY OF LIVONIA ENGINEERING DIVISION
RE PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
On Wednesday, June 6, 2012, the above hearing was held at the
City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
Council President Toy at 6 37 p m Present: Brandon Kritzman, Joe Laura, John
Pastor, Thomas Robinson, and Laura Toy Absent. James McCann, and
Maureen Miller Brosnan
Council President Toy stated that this was a public hearing regarding a
proposed Sanitary Sewer System Improvement Project that will involve the
rehabilitation of approximately 5,000 feet of sanitary sewer and 600 manholes
and disconnections of approximately 25 illicit connections to the sanitary sewer
system The City is proposing to fund the project with money collected from user
charges The total project costs are estimated at $3,600,000 The estimated
costs to the user equates to an increase of $0 05 per sewer building unit.
Adverse impacts of the proposed project include temporary construction related
impacts such as short term traffic disruptions, noise and dust. There were five
(5) individuals present in the audience regarding this matter Questions and
comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council,
a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 18 p m , on
Wednesday, June 6, 2012
