On Wednesday, November 16, 2005 the above hearing was held at the
City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
Council President Taylor at 7 01 p m Present: Brian Meakin, Frank J
Kokenakes, Terry Godfroid-Marecki, James McCann, Don Knapp and Gerald
Taylor Absent: Thomas Robinson
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance have been fulfilled
Council President Taylor stated that in accordance with the provisions set
forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921 , as amended,
the Zoning Act (M S.A. Section 5.2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article
XXIII of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the
Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relevant to the following
rezoning requests
1 Petition 2005-07-01-07 submitted by Rami Rafik Abdul-Baki requesting
to rezone the property located on the north side of Seven Mile Road
between Mayfield Avenue and Osmus Avenue (32330 Seven Mile Road)
in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 3, from RUFB to R-3 (Rural Urban Farm -
1/2 Acre Lots to One Family Residential - 80' x 120' Lots)
2. Petition 2005-08-01-08 submitted by Agree Limited Partnership
requesting to rezone the property located on the west side of Newburgh
35431
Road between Six Mile Road and Mallory Drive (17001 Newburgh Road)
in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 18, from OS to C-2 (Office Services to
General Business)
3 Petition 2005-08-01-09 submitted by Leo Soave Building Company,
Inc. requesting to rezone property located on the west side of Newburgh
Road between Joy Road and Ann Arbor Trail (portion of 9129 Newburgh,
9213 Newburgh and 9300 Stonehouse) in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 31
from PL and RUF to R-1 (Public Land and Rural Urban Farm — 1/z Acre
Lots to One Family Residential — 60' x 120' Lots) and from PL to RUF
(Public Land to Rural Urban Farm — 1/2 Acre Lots)
There were nineteen (19) individuals present in the audience on these
matters
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
The public hearing was declared closed at 7 56 p m , Wednesday,
November 16, 2005
