PUBLIC HEARING RE. Petition 2004-07-06-03 SUBMITTED BY
THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
On Monday, October 18, 2004, the above hearing was held at the City
Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
Council President Taylor at 7 00 p m Present: Brian Meakin, Frank J
Kokenakes, James McCann, Terry Godfroid-Marecki, Don Knapp and Gerald
Taylor Absent: Thomas Robinson
Council President Taylor stated that this was a public hearing on the
question whether or not to amend Sections 2 08 of Art. II, 4 02 of Art. IV, 5 02 of
Art. V, 9 03 of Art. IX, 10 03 of Art. X and 11 03 of Art. XI of Ordinance No 543,
as amended, to allow myomassologists (massage therapists) to either open their
own office, or to work in health clubs, hair salons, day spas, for corporate chair
massages, or in a YMCA within the City limits
There were eight (8) individuals present in the audience regarding this
matter
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the
City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7.09 p m , on Monday,
October 18, 2004
