On Wednesday, December 10, 2003, the above hearing was held at the
City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
Council President Engebretson at 7 00 p m Present: Don Knapp, Linda M
Dolan, Gerald Taylor, Joe Laura (arrived 7.23 p m ), and Jack Engebretson
Absent: Val Vandersloot and Maureen Miller Brosnan
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance have been fulfilled
Council President Engebretson stated that in accordance with the
provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921,
as amended, the Zoning Act (M S.A. Section 5.2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well
as Article XXIII of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relevant to
the following rezoning requests
1 Petition 2003-09-01-16 submitted by John Elieff, for a change of
zoning of property located on the north side of Seven Mile Road between
Mayfield and Shadyside Avenues in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 3 from
C-1 to C-2 (Local Business to General Business)

2 Petition 2003-09-01-17 submitted by Jim Barnas, on behalf of
Contracting Resources, LLC, for a change of zoning of property located
on the west side of Farmington Road between Five Mile Road and Lyndon
Avenue in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 21 from R-2 to OS (One Family
Residential — 70' x 120' Lots to Office Services)
3 Petition 2003-09-01-18 submitted by Christopher McGrath, on behalf
of Newburgh Properties, LLC, for a change of zoning of property
located at 19025 Newburgh on the west side of Newburgh Road between
Seven Mile Road and Kingsburn Drive in the Northeast '/ of Section 7
from OS to C-1 (Office Services to Local Business)
There were eight (8) individuals present in the audience on this matter
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
The public hearing was declared closed at 8 14 p m , Wednesday,
December 10, 2003
