MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING RE:
Petition No. 2003-01-01-04, submitted by Pastor Mark Freer;
Petition No. 2003-02-01-07, submitted by Leo Soave, and
Petition No. 2003-02-01-08, submitted by Alan Tanski

On Wednesday, May 28, 2003, the above hearing was held at the City
Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
Council President Engebretson at 7.01 p m Present: Don Knapp, Val
Vandersloot, Gerald Taylor, Joe Laura [arrived 7.05 p m ] and Jack Engebretson
Absent: Maureen Miller Brosnan and Linda M Dolan
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance have been fulfilled
Council President Engebretson stated that in accordance with the
provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921,
as amended, the Zoning Act (M S.A. Section 5.2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well
as Article XXIII of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relevant to
the following rezoning requests
1 Petition 2003-01-01-04, submitted by Pastor Mark Freer, on behalf of
Open Door Christian Church, for a change of zoning of property located
on the west side of Middlelbelt Road between Munger Avenue and Six
Mile Road (16751 Middlebelt Road) in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 14 from
OS (Office Services) to RUF (Rural Urban Farm — '/2 Acre Lots),

2 Petition 2003-02-01-07, submitted by Leo Soave for a change of zoning
of property located on the south side of Seven Mile Road between
Brookfield Avenue and Canterbury Drive (32415 and 32421 Seven Mile
Road) in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 10, from RUF (Rural Urban Farm — 1/2
Acre Lots) to R-3 (One Family Residential — 80' x 120' Lots), and
3 Petition 2003-02-01-08, submitted by Alan Tanski, on behalf of New Car
Alternatives, Inc., for a change zoning of property located on the south
side of Plymouth Road between Laurel Avenue and Wayne Road in the
Northwest 1/4 of Section 33, from C-1 (Local Business) to C-2 (General
Business)
There were fourteen (14) individuals present in the audience on this
matter
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
The public hearing was declared closed at 8.23 p m , Wednesday, May
28, 2003
