MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REZONING PETITIONS
On August 7, 2002, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Councilmember
Engebretson at 7.00 p m Present: Jack Engebretson, Don Knapp, Linda M
Dolan, Gerald Taylor, and Joe Laura Absent. Maureen Miller Brosnan and
Val Vandersloot.
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed change and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance have been fulfilled
Council President Engebretson stated that in accordance with the
Lprovisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921,
as amended, the City Zoning Act (MSA 5 2934, MCLA 125 584), as well as
Article XXII of Ordinance 543, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relevant to
rezoning requests
1) Petition 2002-04-01-05 submitted by Zef Martin lvezaj requesting to
rezone property located on the south side of Eight Mile Road
between Gill and Ellen Roads in the NW 1/4 of Section 4 from RUF
to R-C, the City Planning Commission in its resolution 05-61-2002
having recommended to the City Council that Petition 2002-04-01-
05, as amended to R-4 be approved, and

L2) Petition 2002-04-01-06 submitted by Timothy & Carol McGee,
Mamie Tansley, Jude and Rebecca Mansilla and James Tyler
requesting to rezone properties located on the north and south
sides of Norfolk Avenue between Osmus and Parker Avenues
(31790, 31800, 31780, 31710, 31785 and 31789 Norfolk Avenue) in
the NE 1/4 of Section 3 from R-3 to R-2, the City Planning
Commission in its resolution 05-61-2002 having recommended to
the City Council that Petition 2002-04-01-06 be approved
There were eighteen (18) individuals present in the audience on this
matter
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the
City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was adjourned at 8 41 p m , Wednesday, August 7,
