MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING RE: REQUEST FOR AN INDUSTRIAL
FACILITIES EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE FROM WAYNE AVERS, REGIONAL
MANAGER OF ADMIRAL TOOL AND MANUFACTURING OF MICHIGAN,
DATED JULY 19, 2000 RE• TO COVER THE ADDITION OF MACHINERY
AND EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR THE MANUFACTURE AND ASSEMBLY OF
AUTOMOTIVE STEERING COLUMNS, AND RELATED OFFICE EQUIPMENT
AND FIXTURES, AT THEIR FACILITY LOCATED AT 38010 AMRHEIN ROAD
WITHIN CITY OF LIVONIA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 77.
On September 18, 2000, a public hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Acting President, Joe Laura,
at TOO p.m. Present: Brian Duggan, John Walsh, John Pastor, Jack Engebretson, and
Joe Laura. Absent: Val Vandersloot and Maureen Miller Brosnan
Acting President Laura stated that this was a public hearing on the question of
whether this City Council should approve the Application for Industrial Facilities
Exemption Certificate from Wayne Avers, Regional Manager of Admiral Tool and
Manufacturing of Michigan, dated July 19, 2000 for the addition of machinery and
equipment needed for the manufacture and assembly of automotive steering columns,
and related office equipment and fixtures, at their facility located at 38010 Amrhein Road
within City of Livonia Industrial Development District No 77
There were three(3) persons present in the audience
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 06 p m , Monday, September 18,
2000
