MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING RE: Petition 00-5-2-19, SUBMITTED BY
JEFFERY A. SCOTT ARCHITECTS, P.C., ON BEHALF OF WENDY'S
INTERNATIONAL, REQUESTING WAIVER USE APPROVAL TO
CONSTRUCT A FULL-SERVICE RESTAURANT WITH DRIVE-UP WINDOW
FACILITIES LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF MIDDLEBELT ROAD
BETWEEN SCHOOLCRAFT ROAD AND INDUSTRIAL ROAD IN THE
NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 26 (CR 603-00)
On October 4, 2000, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President
Brosnan at 7 17 p m Present: Brian Duggan, Jack Engebretson, Joe Laura,
John Pastor, John Walsh and Maureen Miller Brosnan Absent: Val Vandersloot.
Pursuant to Section 19 08 of Ordinance No 543, as amended, the Zoning
Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days
prior to the hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed change and
all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance,
have been fulfilled
President Brosnan stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth
in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the
Zoning Act (M S.A. Section 5 2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of
Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of
the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relevant to request for Waiver Use
approval to construct a full-service restaurant with drive-up window facilities
located on the west side of Middlebelt Road between Schoolcraft Road and
Industrial Road in the Northeast '/ of Section 26
There were five (5) persons present on these matters
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the
City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 8 22 p m , Wednesday,
October 4, 2000
