PUBLIC HEARING RE: PETITION 00-5-6-3, SUBMITTED BY THE PLANNING
i COMMISSION PURSUANT TO COUNCIL RESOLUTION 164-98 AND
PURSUANT TO SECTION 23.01(A) OF ORDINANCE NO. 543, THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA, AS AMENDED, TO DETERMINE
lie WHETHER OR NOT TO AMEND SECTION 18.47, SPECIAL AREA
DEVELOPMENT CONTROL, SO AS TO INCLUDE THE AREA
SURROUNDING MILLENNIUM PARK IN A NEW CONTROL ZONE, LOCATED
IN PORTIONS OF SECTIONS 23, 24, 25 AND 26. (CR 742-00)
On November 15, 2000, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Brosnan at 7 56
p m. Present: Brian Duggan, Jack Engebretson and Maureen Miller Brosnan Absent:
Joe Laura, John Pastor, Val Vandersloot , and John Walsh
President Brosnan stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act
(M.S.A. Section 5.2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No
543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is
holding a public hearing to determine whether or not to amend Section 18 47, Special
L Area Development Control, so as to include the area surrounding Millennium Park in a
new control zone, located in Sections 23, 24, 25 and 26
There was one (1) persons present on this matter
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 8 01 p m., Wednesday, November
15, 2000
