MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING RE: TELECOMMUNICATION PERMIT
APPLICATION: STEVE WILLIAMS, SENIOR MUNICIPAL AFFAIRS
SPECIALIST, ON BEHALF OF MCI METRO ACCESS TRANSMISSION
SERVICES, LLC, RE: PLACING CABLE STARTING AT EIGHT MILE AND
NEWBURGH ROADS, THEN TRAVELING SOUTH ON NEWBURGH ROAD TO
FIVE MILE ROAD, EAST OF FIVE MILE ROAD TO MERRIMAN ROAD, SOUTH
ON MERRIMAN ROAD TO PLYMOUTH ROAD AND EAST ON PLYMOUTH
ROAD TO INKSTER ROAD. (CR 770-00)
On November 27, 2000, a hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center
Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and this item was called to order by President Brosnan at 7 00
p m Present: Brian Duggan, Joe Laura, Jack Engebretson, John Walsh, John Pastor,
and Maureen Brosnan Absent: Val Vandersloot.
President Brosnan stated that this was a public hearing on the question of whether
this City Council should approve the Telecommunication Permit Application from Steve
Williams, Senior Municipal Affairs Specialist, on behalf of MCI Metro Access Transmission
Services, LLC, for access to and ongoing use of the public right-of-ways within the City for
a proposed telecommunications system utilizing approximately 10 4 miles of public right-
of-way (This application requests the placement of cable starting at Eight Mile and
Newburgh Roads, then traveling south on Newburgh to Five Mile Road, east on Five Mile
to Merriman, south on Merriman to Plymouth Road and east on Plymouth Road to
Inkster )
There were five (5) persons present on this matter
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 45 p m , Monday, November 27,
2000
