HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 2000-03-01 PETITION 1999-09-01-15 32129 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REZONING PETITIONS On March 1, 2000, three hearings were held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and were called to order by President Brosnan at 7 05 p m Present: John Walsh, John Pastor, Brian Duggan and Maureen Brosnan Absent: Val Vandersloot, Joe Laura and Jack Engebretson Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen(15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled President Brosnan stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M S.A. Section 5 2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing to determine whether or not to amend Section 18 17 of Zoning Ordinance No 543 for the purpose of granting a change in zoning for the following (1) Petition 99-9-1-15, submitted by General Properties Co., L.L.C., for a change of zoning of property located immediately west of Sunset Subdivision between Fargo Avenue and Eight Mile Road in the Northwest '/4 of Section 2 from RUF to R-3 (Rural Urban Farm-1/2 Acre Lots to One Family Residential—80' x 120 Lots). (2) Petition 99-10-1-19, submitted by Daniel Vettraino, for a change of zoning of property located on the west side of Merriman Road between Pickford and Curtis Avenues in the Northeast 'A of Section 10 from RUFC to R-3 (Rural Urban Farm-1/4 Acre Lots to One Family Residential—80' x 120' Lots) (3) Petition 99-9-1-13, submitted by Anthony J Semaan and Rose Dasaro, on behalf of Mildred 0 Vasaris, to rezone property located on the west side of Middlebelt Road between Wentworth Avenue and Puritan Avenue in the Southeast '/4 of Section 14 from RUF to OS (Rural Urban Farm- 'A Acre Lots to Office Services) There were fourteen (14) persons present on these matters Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
