MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT TO
LAMEND SECTION 18 17 OF ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 543 FOR THE
PURPOSE OF GRANTING VALID NON-CONFORMING USE STATUS TO
EXISTING NON-CONFORMING PRODUCE MARKETS AND NURSERIES.
(CR 41-99)
On March 22, 1999, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Engebretson at
7 00 p m Present: Val Vandersloot, John Pastor, Brian Duggan, Joe Laura, Maureen
Miller-Brosnan and Jack Engebretson Absent: John J Walsh
The President stated that pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, and likewise pursuant to Notice of Public
Hearing duly published and sent to property owners in accordance with said Ordinance
No 543, the City Council is opening a public hearing relative to Petition 98-10-6-5
submitted by the City Planning Commission to determine whether or not to amend
LSection 18 17 of Zoning Ordinance No 543 for the purpose of granting valid non-
conforming use status to existing non-conforming produce markets and nurseries
PETITION 98-10-6-5 by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to CR 597-98,
to determine whether or not to amend Section 18 17 of Zoning Ordinance No
543 for the purpose of granting valid non-conforming use status to existing non-
conforming produce markets and nurseries (CR 41-99)
There were six (6) persons present on these matters.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 7 15 p m , Monday, March 22, 1999
