MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On September 2, 1998, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Engebretson at
8.05 p m. Present: Brian Duggan, Joe Laura, Maureen Miller Brosnan, John Walsh,
John Pastor, and Jack Engebretson. Absent: Val Vandersloot.
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City
Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date
to those persons affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of
Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance have been fulfilled.
President Engebretson stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act
(M.S.A. Section 5.2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance No.
543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is
holding a public hearing relevant to request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition 98-4-1-8 submitted by Carl Creighton on behalf of
Ronald Borkowski, for a change of zoning of property located
on the southwest corner of Clarita and Brentwood Streets in
the N W 1/4 of Section 12, from RUF to R-1, the City Planning
Commission in its resolution 6-84-98 having recommended to
the City Council that Petition 98-4-1-8 be denied; and
Petition 98-5-8-15 submittd by A.D I Realty, Inc. on behalf of
Arbor Drugs, requesting approval of all plans in connection
with a proposal to construct a retail store on property located
at 29500 Five Mile Road in the S W 1/4 of Section 14, and
Petition 98-4-6-2 submitted by the City Planning Commission,
pursuant to CR 852-97, to determine whether or not to amend
Subsections (b), (c), (d), (e) and (j) of Section 18 42A of
Zoning Ordinance No 543, as amended, with respect to certain
definitions and regulations pertaining to wireless communication
facilities, and
There were 48 persons present.

LQuestions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 911 p m., Wednesday, September
2, 1998
