MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE REQUEST BY
VARITY KELSEY-HAYES COMPANY
FOR AN INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE
CITY OF LIVONIA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 46
On October 2, 1996, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by President Laura at 8.11 pm
Present: Michael P McGee, Gerald D Taylor, Brian Duggan, Maureen Miller Brosnan and Joe
Laura. Absent: Femon P Feenstra.
President Laura stated that this was a Public Hearing on the question of whether this
City Council should approve the Application for Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate,
submitted by Varity Kelsey-Hayes Company, re. to cover the construction of a 40,000 sq. ft.
Engineering Building and installation of machinery, equipment, furniture and fixtures to be
used for research or experimental purposes at 12075 Tech Center Drive in IDD No 46
There were twelve (12) persons present in the audience
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the
Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 8.26 p.m , October 2, 1996
