MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION
On July 12, 1995, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic
Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the
Council at 8 07 p m Present. Michael P McGee, Sean P Kavanagh, Maureen Miller
Brosnan, Laura M Toy, Dale A. Juriscin, Fernon P Feenstra and Gerald D Taylor
Absent. None
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinancce No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing
date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed changes and all other
requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4
Lof Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M S A.
Section 5 2934, M C L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance
Petition 95-2-6-1, submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own
motion to determine whether to amend Sections 2 10 and 12 03 of the
Zoning Ordinance regarding detention facilities for adults and children,
the City Planning Commission in its resolution 4-64-95 having
recommended to the City Council that Petition 95-2-6-1 be approved
Petition 95-3-6-2, submitted by the City Planning Commission on its own
motion to determine whether to amend Sections 15 03 and 14 02 of the
Zoning Ordinance so as to permit general and professional offices in ML
districts and to prohibit OS waiver uses in RE districts, the City Planning
Commission in its resolution 4-59-95 having recommended to the City
Council that Petition 95-3-6-2 be approved

There were approximately 50 persons present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by
the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 9 57 p m
