HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1992-10-21 PETITION 1992-07-01-13 27265 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS On October 21, 1992, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at 7:56 p.m. Present: Michael P. McGee*, Dale A. Jurcisin*, Gerald Taylor, Ron Ochala, Fernon P. Feenstra, Sean P. Kavanagh, and Laura M. Toy. Absent: None. (*Arrived at 8:00 p m. ) Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934; M.C.L.A. 125.584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance. Petition 92-7-1-13 by the City Planning Commission to rezone property located south of Eight Mile Road extending to Norfolk Avenue between Middlebelt Road and Oporto in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 2 from RUF and R-6 to R-1 and R-2 (Rural Urban Farm - 1/2 acre lots and Two Family Residential to One Family Residential - 60' x 120' lots and One Family Residential - 70' x 120' lots). Petition 92-7-1-14 by the City Planning Commission to rezone property located on the north side of Seven Mile Road between Haggerty Road and 1-275 in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 6 from M-1 to C-2 (Light Manufacturing to General Business) Petition 92-7-1-18 by Central Construction, Inc. and Detroit Forest Products, Inc. to rezone property located on the north side of Plymouth Road, west of Newburgh Road in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 30 from RUF to R-1 (Rural Urban Farm - 1/2 acre lots to One Family Residential - 60' x 120' lots). 27266 There were approximately 14 persons present. LQuestions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
