HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1992-02-19 PETITION 1991-09-01-18 26853 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS Ims On February 19, 1992, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the Vice President of the Council at 7:52 p.m. Present: Michael P. McGee, Dale Jurcisin*, Gerald Taylor, Laura Toy*, Fernon P. Feenstra, Sean P. Kavanagh and Ron Ochala. Absent None. *Dale Jurcisin and Laura Toy entered after these hearings were underway. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The Vice President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934; M.C.L.A. 125.584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance. Petition 91-9-1-18, submitted by Michael Giordano for a change of zoning on property located on the west side of Hubbell Avenue south of Plymouth Road in the N.W. 1/4 of Section 35 from C-2 to RUF (General Business to Rural Urban Farm, One Family Residential), the City Planning Commission in its resolution 11-175-91 having recommended to the City Council that Petition 91-9-1-18 be approved. Petition 91-10-1-19, submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to Council Resolution 672-91, for a change of zoning on property located on the northeast corner of Bretton Avenue and Middlebelt Road in the S.W 1/4 of Section 1 from OS to R-2 (Office Services to One Family Residential - 70' X 120' Lot), the City Planning Commission in its resolution 11-176-91 having recommended to the City Council that Petition 91-10-1-19 be approved. 26854 110 There were approximately two people present. Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
