MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On February 26, 1992, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
the President of the Council at 8:06 p.m. Present: Michael P. McGee,
Dale Jurcisin, Gerald Taylor, Laura Toy, Fernon P. Feenstra, Sean P.
Kavanagh and Ron Ochala. Absent: None.
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days
prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the
proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning
Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set
forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as
amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934; M.C.L.A. 125.584), as well
as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing
relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition 91-11-1-21, submitted by Paul Lay for Orfeo Corona and
Aldo Liberatore for a change of zoning on property located on the
southwest corner of Seven Mile Road and Maplewooe Avenue in the
Northwest 1/4 of Section 12, from OS to C-1, (Office Services to
Local Business) the City Planning Commission in its resolution
12-190-91 having recommended to the City Council that Petition
91-11-1-21 be denied.
Petition 91-10-1-20, submitted by the City Planning Commission,
on its own motion for a change of zoning on property located on
the south side of Seven Mile Road between Myron and Whitby in
the Northeast 1/4 of Section 9 from C-2 to C-1, (General Business
to Local Business) the City Planning Commission having recommended
to the City Council that Petition 91-10-1-20 be approved.

Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 8:30 p.m. , February 26,
1992.
