HomeMy WebLinkAboutPUBLIC HEARING 1990-09-19 PETITION 1990-06-06-04 26042 MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS On September 19, 1990, the above hearing was held at City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the Council at 7:43 p.m. Present: Gerald Taylor, Dale Jurcisin, Ron Ochala, Fernon P. Feenstra, Laura Toy, and Joan McCotter. Absent: Robert R. Bishop. Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled. The President stated that in accordance with the provi- sions set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934;M.C.L.A. 125 584), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance. Petition 90-6-6-4, submitted by the City Planning Commission, pursuant to Council Resolution 85-90, to determine whether to amend Zoning Ordinance 543 so as to provide for the regulation of restaurant uses as waiver uses when located in department stores, supermarkets or other developments (in lieu of allowing such uses as accessory uses), the City Planning Commission in its resolution 7-404-90 have recommended to the City Council that Petition 90-6-6-4 be denied. There were no persons present. 26043 Questions and comments from interested persons were given im. due consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
