MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITION
On March 12, 1990, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
the President of the Council at 8 06 p m Present Joan McCotter, Laura
Toy, Robert R. Bishop, Gerald Taylor, Dale Jurcisin, Ron Ochala and
Fernon P. Feenstra.
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning
Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen
(15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area
affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance
No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set
forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as
amended, the City Zoning Act, (MSA 5 2934, MCLA 125.548) , as well as
Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing
relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition 89-11-1-33, submitted by City Planning Commission
on its own motion for a change of zoning of the following
described property from PL and R-3 to NP. That portion of
Bicentennial Parkway to the golf course fence and north of
the tennis courts to the boundary of Deer Creek
Subdivision, that portion of Rotary Park lying north of
the ball diamonds to Seven Mile Road, that portion of Blue
Grass Park lying south of a line starting 100' north of
Ladywood Avenue and drawn west to Interstate 275/96,
Grandview Park in its entirety amd Windridge Park in its
entirety.
There were approximately 32 people present
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file
in the office of the City Clerk
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 8 20 p m. , March 12
1990
