MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On November 27, 1989, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
the President of the Council at 8:22 p.m. Present: Fernon P. Feenstra,
Laura Toy, Robert R. Bishop, Gerald Taylor and Ron Ochala. Absent:
Joan McCotter and Dale Jurcisin, who were in Atlanta, Georgia on City
business.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning
Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen
(15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area
affected by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance
No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set
forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as
amended, the City Zoning Act, (MSA 5.2934; MCLA 125.548), as well as
Article XXIIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing
relative to a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition 89-8-1-26, submitted by Shirley Alameddine,
for a change of zoning of the south 39 feet of Lot 104,
Folkers FArmington Acres Subdivision, located on the west
side of Hubbard Road between Eight Mile Road and Norfolk
Avenue in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 3, from R-3A to P
(One Family Residential-80' Lot to Parking).
Petition 89-8-6-7, submitted by the City Planning
Commission, to amend Section 14.02 of the Zoning Ordinance
so as to add Professional Offices to the uses permitted in
the RE (Research Engineering) district regulations.
Petition 89-8-1-27, submitted by Charles Tangora and First
of America Bank-Plymouth, for a change of zoning on
property located on the south side of Schoolcraft, west of
Farmington Road in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 28 from
M-1 to P.S. (Light Manufacturing to Professional Service).

Petition 89-1-1-2, as amended, submitted by Frank Jonna
for Pentagon Properties, for a change of zoning on
property located on the east side of Haggerty Road between
Seven and Eight Mile Roads in the Southwest 1/4 of Section
6 from M-1 to C-2, (Light Manufacturing to General Business).
There were approximately 12 people present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 9:22 p.m., November 27,
1989.
