EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE IN CITY OF LIVONIA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT
DISTRICT NO 1 (NEW TRANSMISSION PROGRAM TO MEET STRICTER CORPORATE
AVERAGE FUEL ECONOMY (CAFE) GUIDELINES)
On August 15, 1988, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
the President of the Council at 8'40 p m. Present Fernon P Feenstra,
Joan McCotter, Laura Toy, Robert R Bishop, Gerald Taylor and Ron
Ochala. Absent Dale Jurcisin (on vacation) .
The President stated that this was a public hearing on the
question of whether this City Council should approve the Application
for an Industrial Facilities Exemption Certificate as submitted by Ford
Motor Company (Livonia Transmission & Chassis Plant) for a new trans-
mission program to meet stricter Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE)

Guidelines, to be located within City of Livonia Industrial Development
District No 1
There were approximately 17 people present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the
office of the City Clerk
The public hearing was declared closed at 9 33 p m ,
August 15, 1988
