MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On August 31, 1987, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President
the Council at 8:38 p m Present Robert E. McCann, Joan McCotter, Fernon P.
Feenstra, Gerald Taylor, Robert D Bennett, Ron Ochala Absent: Robert R
Bishop.
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior
to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed
change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth
in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended,
the Zoning Act (MSA 5 2934,MCLA 125 584) , as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance
No 534, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the
City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a
change of the Zoning Ordinance
Petition 87-5-1-21, submitted by Philip Barth for a change of zoning
of property located on the east side of Farmington Road between Curtis and
Pickford in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 10, from R-1 to P S (One Family
Residential to Professional Service) .
Petition 87-5-1-20, submitted by Donald and Charles Colser for a change
of zoning of proeprty located on the north side of Bretton Road between
Middlebelt and Louise in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 2, from P L to RUFA
(Public Land to Rural Urban Farm - One Family Residential)
Petition 87-4-1-19, submitted by S E M M Company for a change of
zoning of property located on the east side of Newburgh Road, north of Seven
Mile Road in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 5 from RUFC to C-1 (Rural Urban
Farm - One Family Residential to Local Business)
Petition 87-5-1-24, submitted by John Del Signore for a change of
zoning of property located on the north side of Schoolcraft Road between
Eckles Road and the 1-96 Freeway inthe Southwest 1/4 of Section 19 from
R-1 to C-2 and P (One Family Residential to General Business and Parking) .

There were approximately 25 people present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City
Clerk
The public hearing was declared closed at 9 40 p.m. , August 31, 1987
