MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On September 17, 1986, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
the President of the Council at 9 15 p.m Present Robert R. Bishop,
Joan McCotter, Robert E McCann, Gerald Taylor, Robert D. Bennett, Ron
Ochala. Absent: Fernon P. Feenstra.
Pursuant to Section 23,06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days
prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the
proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the
Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth
in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended,
the Zoning Act OA S.A 5.2934;MCLA 125,584) , as well as Article XXIII of

Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council
of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request
for a change of the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition No. 86-5-1-21, submitted by David W. Schostak for a change
of zoning of property located on the Northwest corner of Six Mile and
Newburgh Roads in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 7 from C-2 to C-4II, C-4
and P.U. (General Business to High Rise Commercial 8-Stories, High Rise
Commercial 4-Stories and High Rise Professional Office 4-Stories) .
Petition No 86-6-1-24, submitted by Dora Sabatini for a change of
zoning of property located on the West side of Shadyside, North of Seven
Mile Road in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 3 from R-3A to P (One Family
Residential to Parking.
Petition No 86-6-1-26, submitted by Ved P. Kapila for a change of
zoning of property located North of Five Mile Road, East of Middlebelt
Road in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 13 from R-7 and P to C-2 (Multiple
Dwelling and Parking to General Business

Petition No. 86-6-1-25, submitted by the City Planning Commission for
a change of zoning of property located on the South side of Schoolcraft
Road (1-96) , West of Merriman Road, in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 27
from C-3 to M-2 (Highway Service Commercial to General Manufacturing) .
-~— There were approximately fifteen people present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due con-
sideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office
of the City Clerk.
The public hearing was declared closed at 10 05 p m. , September 17,
1986.
