MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On July 21, 1986, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Lop Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the
President of the Council at 8 06 p m Present Robert R Bishop, Joan
McCotter, Fernon P Feenstra, Robert E McCann, Gerald Taylor, Robert D.
Bennett and Ron Ochala Absent None
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days
prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the
proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning
Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set
forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921,
as amended, the Zoning Act (MSA 5 2934,MCLA 125 584) , as well as Article
tho XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the
Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to
a request for a change of the Zoning Ordinance
Petition No 86-4-1-13, submitted by Jose Evangelista, M D. for
a change of zoning of property located on the South side of Plymouth
Road, West of Newburgh Road in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 30 from RUF
to R-7 (Rural Urban Farm - One Family Residential to Multiple Family
Dwellings) .
Petition No. 86-4-1-15, submitted by the City Planning Commission
for a change of zoning of property located on the East side of Newburgh,
North of Six Mile Road in the Southwest 1/4 of section 8 from C-2 to P S.
(General Business to Professional Service)
Petition No 86-4-1-16, submitted by Norman Hyman for E Szoka,
Archbishop of Detroit & Schmier-Butler Properties for a change of zoning
of property located on the West side of Inkster, North of Joy Road in
the Southeast 1/4 of Section 36 from RUF to R-7 (Rural Urban Farm-One
Family Residential to Multi Family Dwellings)
Petition No 86-4-1-17, submitted by Helen Constantine to rezone
property located on the North side of Seven Mile Road, East of Gill Road
in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 4 from RUFA to R-2 (Rural Urban Farm -
One Family Residential to One Family Residential)

Petition No. 86-5-1-22, submitted by Thomas Guastello to rezone
property located on the North side of Schoolcraft and East of Middlebelt
Road in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 24 from R-7 to P.S. (Multi Family
Dwellings to Professional Services)
There were approximately 45 people present.
Questions and comments from interested persons were given due
consideration by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
The public hearing was declared closed at 10 00 p m. , July 21 , 1986
