MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On March 11, 1985, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33000
Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President
of the Council at 9:35 p.m. Present . Robert R. Bishop, Robert E. McCann,
Fernon P. Feenstra, Alice Gundersen, Gerald Taylor, Robert D. Bennett, Peter A.
Ventura. Absent: None
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance,
the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior
to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change
and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been
fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth
in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the
Zoning Act (M S.A Section 5.293)--), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543,
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia
is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning
Ordinance.
Petition No. 84-8-1-27 (rehearing), submitted by Emmanuel Danial for a
change of zoning of property located on the east side of Levan Road, south of
Plymouth Road in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 32, from RUF and P to R-1 and C-2
(Rural Urban Farm-One Family Residential and Parking to One Family Residential
and General Business).
Petition No. 84-11-1-32, submitted by LER Properties, Ltd. , for a change
of zoning of property located on the west side of Laurel Park Drive, north of Six
Mile Road, in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 7 from R-91I to P 0.-II, (Housing for
the Elderly 9 stories to Hi-Rise Professional Office - 8 stories ).

for a change of zoning of property located on the east side of the 1-275 Freeway,
north of Six Mile Road, in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 7 from R-8II to P.0.-II,
(Hi-Rise Multi-Family 8 Stories to Hi-Rise Professional Office 8 Stories).
Petition No 84-12-6-5, submitted by the City Planning Commission on
its own motion to amend Section 2.04, Definitions of Basic Types of Buildings
and Uses, and Section 18.24, Residential Accessory Buildings, of Zoning Ordinance
No. 543, so as to provide additional control over the number and size of resi-
dential accessory buildings and protection of residential areas from unsightly
and excessive number of accessory buildings
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 10:05 P M. , March 11, 1985.
