MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On April 17, 1985, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by
the President of the Council at 8.15 p.m. Present Robert R. Bishop,
Robert E. McCann, Fernon P Feenstra, Alice Gundersen, Gerald Taylor
and Peter A. Ventura. Absent Robert D Bennett.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning
Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen
imm (15) days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected
by the proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543,
the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions
set forth in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921,
as amended, the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5 293+), as well as Article
XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the
Council of the City of Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a
request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance.

Petition 84-11-1-33 (as amended), submitted by James
Blain for Republic Development Corporation for a
change of zoning of property located on the south
side of Six Mile Road, east of Haggerty Road in
the Northwest 1/4 of Section 18, from R-7 to P.S,,
C-2 and P.O., (Multiple Family Dwelling to Pro-
fessional Service, General Business and Profession-
al Office Hi-Rise - 4 Stories).
Petition 85-1-1-3, submitted by Harry Van Ess for
a change of zoning of property located on the
Southeast corner of Five Mile Road and Harrison
in the North 1/2 of Section 24, from C-1 to C-2,
(Local Business to General Business).
Petition 84-11-1-31 (as amended), submitted by John
J. Mahn for a change of zoning of property located
on the south side of Ann Arbor Trail, west of
Newburgh Road in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 31,
from R-1 and RUF to C-1, and AG and RUF to R-7,
(One Family Residential and Rural Urban Farm-One
Family Residential to Local Business, and General
Agriculture and Rural Urban Farm-One Family Resi-
dential to Multiple Dwelling).
Petition 85-1-6-1, submitted by the City Planning
Commission to amend Section 11.03 (m) of Zoning
Ordinance No. 543 to provide for the location of
rust-proofing businesses as waiver uses in C-2
Districts.

LPetition 84-11-6-4, submitted by the City Planning
Commission pursuant to Council Resolution 804-84
to amend Section 18.47 of Zoning Ordinance No. 543
by deleting the exception provided with respect to
site plan approval requirements in industrial
districts.
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 9.40 p.m ,
April 17, 1985.
