MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On October 31, 1977, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001
Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the President of the
Council at 8.41 P M Present Robert E McCann, Robert F Nash, Jerry Brown,
Peter A Ventura, Robert R Bishop and Robert D Bennett Absent Jerry Raymond.
Pursuant to Section 23 06 of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the
hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed change and all
other requirements of Ordinance No 543, the Zoning Ordinance, have been fulfilled
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth in
Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the Zoning
Act (M S A Section 5 2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the Zoning
Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding a
public hearing relative to a request for a change in the Zoning Ordinance.
Petition No 77-5-1-13, submitted by Dr Michael K Nicola for a change of
zoning on property located on the northeast corner of Schoolcraft Road and Ellen Drive
in the S W 1/4 of Section 21, from R-2 to P S (One Family Residential District to
Professional Service District)
Petition No 77-7-1-22, submitted by Noble Bates for a change of zoning on
property located at the southeast corner of Ann Arbor Trail and Newburgh Roads in the
N W 1/4 of Section 32, from C-1 to C-2, (Local Business District to General Business
District)
Petition No. 77-6-1-21, submitted by Bra.Con Industries, Inc for a change of
zoning on property located on the east side of Newburgh Road between Plymouth and
Amrhein Roads in the S W 1/4 of Section 29, from R-1 to M-1 (One Family Residential
District to Light Manufacturing District)
The Public Hearing was declared closed at 10 35 P M , October 31, 1977
