Home My WebLink AboutELEC COMM 2005-01-10 MINUTES OF THE ELECTION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA, MICHIGAN A meeting of the Election Commission of the City of Livonia, Michigan, was held on Monday, January 10, 2005 at the Livonia City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan at 2.35 P M , at which time and place the following members of said Commission were present: Present: Val Vandersloot, City Clerk Jack Engebretson, Mayor Sean P Kavanagh, City Attorney Val Vandersloot assumed the duties as Chairperson of the Election Commission Upon a motion by Commissioner Kavanagh, supported by Commissioner Engebretson, and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED that the minutes of the Election Commission meeting held on October 12, 2004 be hereby approved Upon a motion by Commissioner Kavanagh, supported by Commissioner Engebretson, and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED that the recommended precinct boundary changes to the Westland portion of the Livonia School District, consolidating Westland precincts 42 and 21 into one school precinct to be named 21W and consolidating Westland precincts 40 and 41 into one school precinct to be named 41W, in compliance with State Election law regarding number of registered voters in a consolidated school district, be hereby approved Upon a motion by Commissioner Engebretson, supported by Commissioner Kavanagh, and unanimously adopted, it was Minutes of January 10, 2005 Election Commission Meeting Page 2 RESOLVED that the City of Livonia will sign the Agreement between the Wayne County Election Commission and the City of Livonia which will consolidate Westland precincts 42 and 21 into one school precinct to be named 21W and consolidating Westland precincts 40 and 41 into one school precinct to be named 41W in Westland for Livonia Public Schools school elections for the 2005 and 2006 school elections Upon a motion by Commissioner Kavanagh, seconded by Commissioner Engebretson, and unanimously adopted, this meeting of the Election Commission of the City of Livonia was adjourned at 2 59 p m , January 10, 2005 d-j2 Val Vandersloot Election Commission Chairperson sah cc: Members (3) Assistant City Clerk File
