HomeMy WebLinkAboutELEC COMM 2000-10-10 MINUTES OF THE ELECTION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA, MICHIGAN A meeting of the Election Commission of the City of Livonia, Michigan, was held on Tuesday, October 10, 2000 at the Livonia City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan at approximately 2 45 P.M., at which time and place the following members of said Commission were present Present Joan McCotter, City Clerk Jack Kirksey, Mayor Sean P Kavanagh, City Attorney Joan McCotter assumed the duties as Chairperson of the Election Commission. Upon a motion by Commissioner Kirksey supported by Commissioner Kavanagh and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED that the minutes of the Election Commission meeting held on October 10, 2000 be hereby approved, it was Upon a motion by Commissioner Kavanagh, supported by Commissioner Kirksey and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED that the election Inspectors and Chairpersons listed on the scheduled list hereto, and made part of these minutes, are duly appointed to the Election Board for the State General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2000 Upon a motion by Commissioner Kirksey supported by Commissioner Kavanagh and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED that the compensation for the day of Tuesday, November 7, 2000 be $100 00 for each inspector, $105 00 for each Vice Chairperson, and $130 00 for each Chairperson and further that each appointed member required to attend an instructional meeting be reimbursed at the rate of$10 00 per meeting with Chairpersons receiving an additional $5 00 for their instructional meeting Minutes of October 10, 2000 Election Commission Meeting Page 2 Upon a motion by Commissioner Kirksey, seconded by Commissioner Kavanagh and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED that if the work day goes over 14 hours, at least minimum wage of$5 25 would be paid for the November 7, 2000 election.
