Home My WebLink AboutELEC COMM 1965-08-18 MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE ELECTION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA August 18, 1965 A meeting of the Election Commission of the City of Livonia was held on Wednesday, August 18, 1965, at 33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, at approximately 11:20 A M , at which time and place the following members of the Commission were present: Addison W. Bacon, City Clerk; Steve Polgar, City Attorney. Absent: Harvey W Moelke, Mayor Pursuant to Section 5, Chapter III of the Charter, the City Clerk pre- sided over the meeting as Chairman of the Commission The meeting was called to consider and appoint Election Inspectors for the forty voting precincts of the City of Livonia at the Special Primary and Special City Election to be held in the City of Livonia, September 14, 1965. City Attorney Polgar wished it noted that City Clerk Bacon had stated that the Election Boards would consist of four members each. Membership would be rotated between the Election of September 14, 1965 and the Election of November 2, 1965, to afford all qualified inspectors the opportunity of serv- ing at each election. Upon a motion of City Attorney Polgar, supported by City Clerk Bacon, it was RESOLVED that the present recommendation of one week's notice of list of Election Inspectors be waived for this meeting, and that the following respective persons are hereby appointed members of the following Election Precincts of the City of Livonia for the Election to be held September 14, 1965.
