Home My WebLink AboutELEC COMM 2013-02-13 MINUTES OF THE ELECTION COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA, MICHIGAN A meeting of the Election Commission of the City of Livonia, Michigan, was held on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Livonia City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Livonia, Michigan at 11 32 A.M , at which time and place the following members of said Commission were present: Present: Jack Kirksey, Mayor Don Knapp, City Attorney Terry Marecki, City Clerk Terry Marecki assumed the duties as Chairperson of the Election Commission Upon a motion by Commissioner Kirksey, supported by Commissioner Knapp, and unanimously adopted, it was RESOLVED that the minutes of the Election Commission meeting held on October 15, 2012 be hereby approved Terry A. Marecki, City Clerk, stated that this year we are holding three (3) elections a Special School Election on May 7, 2013, a City Primary on August 6, 2013, and a City General on November 5, 2013 All three elections are predicted to have a low voter turnout. In order to save money she is recommending the consolidating of the following precincts for all three elections No voting locations will be changed, all voters will still go to their regular voting place Upon a motion by Commissioner Knapp, supported by Commissioner Kirksey, and unanimously adopted, it was Minutes of February 13, 2013 Election Commission Meeting Page 2 RESOLVED that for the May 7, 2013 — Special School Election, the August 6, 2013 — City Primary Election, and the November 5, 2013 - City General Election, the following precincts will be consolidated Livonia Consolidated Precincts Precinct Polling Place 1A & 1B 1A Clarenceville JH School 3A & 3B 3A Webster School 8A & 8B 8A Holmes School 10A & 24B 10A Riley School 15A & 16B 15A Buchanan Shcool 17A & 17B 17A Hoover School 19A & 19B 19A Randolph School 22A & 22B 22A Kennedy School 23A & 23B 23A Roosevelt School 25A & 36A 25A Emerson School 31A & 31B 31A Rosedale School 32A & 33A 32A Garfield School 34B & 34C 34B Grant School 35B & 35C 35B McKinley Center Upon a motion by Commissioner Kirksey, seconded by Commissioner Knapp, and unanimously adopted, this meeting of the Election Commission of the City of Livonia was adjourned at 11 36 A.M , February 13, 2013 Ter A.
