MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON VARIOUS ZONING PETITIONS
On August 9, 1971, the above hearing was held at the City Hall,
33001 Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by the
President of the Council at 8:05 P.M. Present: Robert F. Nash, Edward G.
Milligan, Peter A. Ventura, Jerry Raymond, Robert E. McCann, and Robert D.
Bennett. Absent: Jerry H. Brown.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning
Ordinance, the City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15)
days prior to the hearing date to those persons in the area affected by the
proposed change and all other requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning
Ordinance, have been fulfilled.
The President stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth
in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended,
the Zoning Act (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance
543, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of
Livonia is holding a public hearing relative to a request for a change in the
Zoning Ordinance.
Petition No. 71-3-1-18 initiated by Council Resolution No. 900-69
for a change of zoning of property located adjacent to Bainbridge Avenue between
Five Mile Road and Lyndon Avenue in Section 23 from RUF (rural urban farms) to
R-3 (family residential district).
Petition No. 71-3-1-14 submitted by the City Planning Commission for
a change of zoning of property located on the west side of Farmington Road in
Section 33 from P.L. (public land district) to R-1 (one family residential district).
Petition No. 71-3-1-17 initiated by Council Resolution No. 1044-70 for a
change of zoning of property located south of Plymouth Road between Stark and
Wayne Roads in Section 33 from RUF (rural urban farms) to R-1 (one family
residential district).
Petition No. 71-3-1-12 submitted by Angelo Mazzocco for a change of
zoning on property located on the northwest corner of Schoolcraft and Stark Roads
in Section 21 from R-2 (single family residential district) to P.S. (professional
service district).
The public hearing was declared closed at 9:30 P M., August 9, 1971.
