MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ZONING PETITIONS
On May 7, 1969, the above hearing was held at the City Hall, 33001 Five
Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, and was called to order by Councilman Kleinert at
7:12 P. M. Present--*Edward H. McNamara, Rudolf R. Kleinert, *Peter A. Ventura,
*Jerry Raymond, *Robert E. McCann, *Robert F. Nash, and Edward G. Milligan.
Absent--none. There were approximately seventy people in the audience.
Councilman Kleinert stated that in accordance with the provisions set forth
in Section 4 of Act 207 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 1921, as amended, the City
Zoning Act, (M.S.A. Section 5.2934), as well as Article XXIII of Ordinance 543, the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Livonia, the Council of the City of Livonia is holding
a public hearing relative to requests for changes in the Zoning Ordinance.
Pursuant to Section 23.06 of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance, the
City Clerk has duly published and mailed notices fifteen (15) days prior to the hear-
ing date to those persons in the area affected by the proposed changes and all other
requirements of Ordinance No. 543, the Zoning Ordinance have been fulfilled.
Petition No. 68-12-1-45 submitted by Charest and Clancy for Harold Thomas
for a change of zoning in Section 23 from RUFA to C-2.
Frank Clancy, attorney for the petitioner, requested the withdrawal of
this petition and stated that they would like to send this back to the Planning
Commission so that it could be amended.
Petition No. 68-11-1-43 submitted by Trinity Baptist Church for a change
of zoning in Section 24 from RUF to R-7.
*Councilman Ventura and Councilman McNamara arrived at 7:20 P. M.
Petition No. 69-1-1-1 submitted by the City Planning Commission for a
change of zoning in Section 3 from RUFA to R-3.
*Councilman McCann and Councilman Nash arrived at 7:40 P. M.
Petition No. 68-11-1-42 submitted by Richard E. Gabel and Edward C. Levy Jr.
for a change of zoning in Section 21 from R-2 to R-7.
:-Councilman Raymond arrived at approximately 8:10 P. M.

Questions and comments from interested persons were given due consideration
by the Council, a transcript of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
The public hearing was declared closed at 8:30 P. M., May 7, 1969.
